garment start up consultant in vietnam
Hi, my name is Chris. I have been working in the Vietnam garment industry since 2008. My expertise is advising fashion start-ups and sourcing factories. I like to talk about producing your garments in Vietnam and launching your clothing brand.

My Why

I love working with fashion start-ups who want to master the process of working with Vietnamese factories. I resonate with serious entrepreneurs eager to learn and move forward. I crave the energy that start-ups have. I get great satisfaction answering their questions and calming their anxiety about investing money and working with factories in a foreign country that speak a foreign language. I am a fashion start up consultant in Vietnam.

My How

I start with a list of production steps and figure out which steps you have already mastered and which you have not. Each step has decision points that only you can make. I explain the options until you are ready and you choose; then we move on. This is how I work as a fashion start up consultant in Vietnam.

My What

I work with you to complete your tech packs, order quantity breakdown list and quality control checklist. With these three things in hand, I take you to the factory to work directly with Vietnamese garment technicians and merchandisers. The ultimate goal is to get a price quote and counter samples before committing to production. This is what I do as a fashion start up consultant in Vietnam.

My mission

To share my Vietnam garment production experience with fashion start-ups around the world.

My vision

To be the best fashion start up consultant in the world with an emphasis on finance and accounting.

I introduce you to factories that can make samples based off the tech pack using available fabrics at a fair market price. I review the tech pack and sample with you to get you to a point where you can get a realistic price quote based on your order quantity breakdown list.

If you are ready to get price quotes and samples made then let's schedule a time to talk. I need to know more about your product, time line, quality control standards and business model. I have a series of questions I will ask to get an idea of where you are at and where you want to go.

1. Which products do you want to produce first?
2. Do you have any special factory requirements?
3. Have you produced before? If yes, then in what country?
4. Typically, what quantity per style per color do you order?
5. Does your company have a website?
6. Do you want to work with an agent or directly with the factory?
7. What are your payment terms?
8. What testing and QC do you require?
9. Do you plan to visit Vietnam?

Due to the time zone difference we will choose carefully to make sure our meeting time is convenient. I use Calendly scheduling App. You can choose a time and date that works best for you as long as it is not in the middle of the night for me.

Long Ha Chin is a clothing manufacturer that excels in men, women and children cut & sew knitwear. They are based in Ho Chi Minh City. They produce fabric, source trims and sew it all together for you. They are highly specialized in producing garments from circular knitted fabrics. They can make basic printed t-shirts, polo-shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, fashionable blouses, kids wear and sportswear. They are proud to be a family-owned garment supplier who has been developing for the past 29 years. They have two production facilities. One factory is in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City and one in Sung Nhon, Binh Thuan Province. They will quote price based off of your tech packs and order quantities. Mention me as your fashion start up consultant in Vietnam to get to the front of the line.

Their regular MOQ is 1,000 pieces per style. They are flexible on MCQ and MOQ if you can make some concessions as well like payment terms. MCQ stands for minimum color quantity. MOQ means minimum order quantity. They manage yarn and fabric production themselves which allows them to make as little as 500-1,000 pieces per style, especially when you allow them to combine fabric together across multiple styles.

Lead time is from 60-120 days depending on the order quantity, design & quality control requirements.

Their capacity is around 250,000 pcs of t-shirts/month.

Their current US and Canadian buyers are:
Maxstudio in Los Angeles who own stores and sells in stores like Chelsea & Violet, Marmaxx-TJMaxx & Marshall, Nordstrom, Hautelook, Winners. Belldini sells to Macy’s, Christopher & Banks, Dillars, Belles, Soft Surroundings and Ross. Covenant sells to the Mormon church. G-III produces Calvin Klein. Kindred Bravely and Gift Craft are successful start ups that took off with the help of Long Ha Chin.

Other notable customers are:

Their factory certifications are:
SA8000
BSCI no. 335395
FAMA Disney

Their quality standard is AQL 2.5/4.0.

They produce about 50 tons of circular knitted fabric monthly. They buy yarns from Vietnam, India, China, Korea and Thailand. The can produce fabric with the following yarns: bamboo rayon, pima cotton, organic cotton, cotton modal, cotton rayon, cotton slub, combo cotton, viscose, viscose slub, TR, TR slub, CVC, TC, modal and polyester - all with or without spandex. The fabric is knitted and dyed in Vietnam to have good fabric price with competitive garment price for our buyers. They specialize in the following knitting structures: single jersey, french terry, pique, diamond pique, rib 1x1, rib 2x2, rib 1x1, rib 6x3, waffle, burn-out, hot TR (immitation of full fashion knit,) Ponte Roma, interlock, fleece, pique jacquard, knit denim and jacquard. They can offer solid, feeder stripe and auto stripes. Hire me as your fashion start up consultant in Vietnam and I can help you source all these fabrics.

They offer many printing options. They can do all over print or piece print using pigment, reactive, dispersed, heat-transfer, rubber, discharge, foil, reflective, glitter and burn-out techniques. They can do sublimation print three different ways.

If you need functional polyester fabric they can do antimicrobial, quick drying/wicking, UV sun protection, anti-static and adaptive treatments.

They rock and I can introduce you directly to THE decision maker. That is the benefit of working with a tried and true fashion start up consultant in Vietnam.
